Birthday Parties

Celebrate a birthday in a unique way with a dance specialist. The party is held at the Harlem Road Community Center as part of Creative Dance for Children Classes. The party includes a 45 minute creative dance class, in a decorated dance studio, made up of several of the following activities (you and your child decide) including:

Dancing in 3s with "balloons" (includes one large punch balloon-party favor for each child)
"Shape-shop" dancing
Bean Bag Boogie
Parachute fun
Shadow Dancing
Musical spots
"The Chicken Dance"
"The Hokey-Pokey"
Dancing with ribbons, scarves or other props
"Cha-Cha Slide"
Dance to the stories of:
- "Frank Was a Monster Who Wanted to Dance"
- "Giraffes Can't Dance," a jungle animal dance
- "Dinosaurumpus!," a dinosaur dance
- "Bring on That Beat," a tribute to Duke Ellington
- Ballet Stories too!

After the dance class, a room is available for refreshments provided by the host family. The room includes tables, chairs, refrigerator, stove and coat rack. Birthday parties are booked on studio space and teacher availability (usually Saturdays from 2-3:30pm). Birthday party fee is $120.00 for up to 12 guests, $5 per extra guests with a limit of 20 attending the party. Length of the party is 1 1/2 hours. Payment is due upon scheduling.

Cancellation Policy: We require one week notice of cancellation upon which a refund of all but $40 will be given. If a one week notice is not given, the full payment will be retained by Creative Dance for Children.
